Deputy Permanent Secretary Flags Off Distribution of Mobility Aids in North Western Province

The Deputy Permanent Secretary for North Western Province, Mr. Luckson Mulumbi, has flagged off the distribution of mobility aids to persons with disabilities in the province on behalf of the Provincial Minister.

The mobility aids were donated by Crutches 4 Africa through the Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development and handed over to the Zambia Agency for Persons with Disabilities (ZAPD) for distribution to beneficiaries across the province.

Speaking during the flag-off ceremony, Mr. Mulumbi said the donation would significantly improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities by enhancing mobility, independence, and overall human dignity.

He commended the cooperating partners for their continued support towards disability inclusion and empowerment.

The distribution of the mobility aids is expected to promote independent living and enable persons with disabilities to participate more actively in social and economic activities within their communities.

ZAPD expressed gratitude to the donors and partners for their commitment to improving the welfare of persons with disabilities and reaffirmed its mandate to ensure that no one is left behind.
